

Gas, insurance options, and 180 miles per day are all included in membership. The call representative told me this himself. Zipcar memberships start at 7 a month or 70 a year. They have to answer all avis/ budget zipcar calls and any other companies they own. Also now that they forward your phone calls to the Avis international line in Mexico you will wait even longer for a person to answer the phone. So now I see no value in the membership fee. So a overnight special is $100 -$150 which is a daily rate I can get a rental for less than that since I don't use a lot of gas. I will be getting rid of my membership since there overnight special was a great perk. There's certain llittle perks and benefits that makes people love a company and these giant corporations come in and just ruin the whole happiness of customers. This reminds me of how Amazon taking over whole foods is eventually going to ruin it.

Zip car has been acquired by greedy Avis/ budget corporation so all the good perks are gone including the overnight special. This has happened several times and its disheartening when your excited about something and you planned everything perfect and zip car just ruins it. I had to file a complaint to get my money back for transportation cost and I was not able to go to my event on time. Back in the days if the scanner was broke they would just let you in from the computer now they won't let you in so basically the customer service has gotten worse. They will get you into another car but generally its very far away and you have to pay for transportation there and loose time on your rental. Im a 10 year customer and I have booked a car and was not able to get into a vehicle due to broken scanners.

Also they got rid of the overnight special. Please don't rely on Zip car if you have something important to do.
